New Mower County Rules Tougher on Adults Hosting Parties for Teens

Mower County residents who are considering hosting a party for underage drinkers should be aware of Mower County’s new social host ordinance, which makes it easier for police to charge party hosts with a misdemeanor when teenagers are found drinking. While parents can still allow their teenagers a glass of wine with dinner and teens can partake in religious observances involving alcohol, the county is hoping to curb underage drinking by holding party hosts more responsible. Read more about the new ordinance in the Austin Daily Herald.
